2026 Spring Conference Review

PAEOP successfully hosted its 2026 Spring Conference April 15–17 at the Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg Hershey, bringing together educational office professionals from across Pennsylvania for three days of professional learning, networking, inspiration, and personal growth.

The conference opened on Wednesday evening with registration and a warm welcome to attendees. The keynote presentation, Supporting Those Who Support Others, was delivered by Suzanne Dailey, who shared practical strategies for supporting personal and professional wellness while balancing the many responsibilities educational office professionals manage daily. Attendees then enjoyed a creative Paint Your Own Flowerpot activity and an energetic evening of BINGO, providing opportunities to connect and build relationships with colleagues from across the state.

Thursday’s schedule featured a full day of engaging educational sessions on professional growth, communication techniques, wellness, safety, retirement planning, and information about the NAEOP Professional Standards Program (PSP).  Attendees participated in technology sessions on digital safety, Microsoft Office best practices, Google tools, AI in the workplace, and other technology-focused topics designed to help educational office professionals navigate the ever-changing digital landscape within schools and educational organizations. 

The conference also included sessions specifically designed for retirees, focusing on internet safety, fraud awareness, and life-planning strategies to help them confidently navigate the next stage of life. These sessions provided valuable information on staying safe online, protecting personal information, and planning for financial and personal well-being during retirement.

During the Awards and Recognition Luncheon, PAEOP honored member achievements, recognized scholarship recipients, and celebrated the dedication and accomplishments of educational office professionals throughout Pennsylvania. At the Thursday evening banquet, we celebrated the installation of the PAEOP 2026-2028 Executive Board and enjoyed the amazing entertainment provided by the Sweet Adeline’s Harrisburg Chorus. 

Friday morning began with breakfast and networking roundtables, allowing attendees to share ideas, challenges, and successes with peers from across the Commonwealth before participating in the Annual Business Meeting.

The conference concluded with an inspiring closing session, The Transformation Begins Now, presented by Rebecca Gibboney. Using the metaphor of emerging from a cocoon, she encouraged attendees to reflect on their growth throughout the conference and return to their schools and organizations renewed, empowered, and inspired. The conference closed with lunch and basket drawings, ending the event on a celebratory and uplifting note.

The 2026 Spring Conference once again demonstrated PAEOP’s commitment to providing high-quality professional development, meaningful networking opportunities, and support for the educational office professionals who serve Pennsylvania’s schools and educational communities each day.
