• Annual Fall Workshop - Event update

The Annual PAEOP Fall Workshop was a huge success filled with a full day of professional and personal development that helped each attendee become the best version of themselves!  Despite the weather being dreary - the room was filled with laughter and excitement. The event was once again held at the PSBA Office & Conference Center in Mechanicsburg, PA and began with hands-on Microsoft Training presented by Tracy Whiteman, Jason Rasmussen and Kathy Ayers, Instructional Technology Staff from Great Valley School District.  Participants walked away with some great tips, tools and knowledge of the many Microsoft Products and hopefully make their jobs a little easier!

After the information-filled lunch presentations given by some of the PAEOP Executive Board members and officers, six lucky participants were awarded a free 2018-2019 membership! During the afternoon session, Jacklyn Steed, the Preventoin Program Manager from Council on Chemical Abuse in Reading PA presented informatoin on the opioid epidemic in our schools and society.  She shared statistics, as well as information on how to safely dispose of medications, and how to use Naloxone in an emergency.

Closing out the afternoon, Mary Bach, Chairman of Consumer Issues Task Force with AARP, educated the members about the potential for scams and fraudulent solicitations currently affecting people of all ages nationwide.Members left the day full of knowledge, information and most importantly friendship!

We look forward to seeing everyone at Spring Conference in May 2019.
