LOUISE HENDERSON NELSON MEMBER SCHOLARSHIP

The PAEOP Louise Henderson Nelson Member Scholarship Fund was established in 1976 to aid members of the Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals who are currently enrolled and working toward a Certificate in the Professional Standards Program (PSP) of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals.  As of Spring 2023, the award may also be used for PSP and CEOE re-certification application fees.

The applicant must be:

• a citizen of the United States of America
• a resident of Pennsylvania
• a high school graduate
• and currently employed by an educational institution.

Scholarships may be utilized for:

• PSP application fee
• PSP upgrade
• Recertification fee
• Education/in-service hours
• CEOE/CESE distinction or higher education classes. 

Applicants must be current members in good standing with PAEOP and NAEOP. The scholarship will be awarded based on initiative and motivation towards higher education.

Winner(s) will be chosen by a Selection Committee to be designated by the Scholarship Chairman and approved by the PAEOP President.

The number and amounts of scholarships to be awarded each year will depend upon the availability of funds.  The Scholarship Selection Committee will make a recommendation to the Executive Board for approval.

Applications are due to the Scholarship Chairperson on or before March 1.  Final selection(s) will be made by April 1.  Announcement of the winner(s) will be made at the annual PAEOP Conference.
