Hermine Solt Student Scholarship
Welcome back - Please check back in November 2020 for the 2021 Application. See below for guidelines, criteria and a copy of the Scholarship. Scholarships of $500 each will be offered to students who meet the requirements. The number of scholarships given will be determined annually.
1. Scholastic achievement and motivation for higher education
2. Qualities and traits of leadership, citizenship, and service to school and community
3. Financial need
4. Recommendations from business education department member and/or school counselor must accompany application
5. A career in Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Business Communications, Business Management, Business Communications, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Computer/Technology, or Secretarial/Admin. Assistant)
Guidelines for Applicants:
The completed Hermine Solt Student Scholarship Application, official transcript and recommendation must be postmarked to the attention of the chairperson on or before March 1st. Incomplete applications will be disqualified.
Members of the scoring committee will receive copies of the applications with names and addresses removed to ensure unbiased scoring. Winners will be chosen by the committee and recommended for approval by the PAEOP president. A recommendation will be made by the Scholarship Committee to the PAEOP Executive Board for approval.
Final selection will be made by April 1. Announcement of the winner(s) will be made at the annual PAEOP Conference. Payment of the scholarship will be made directly to the college, upon written verification of the student's acceptance in a business-related program.
The format of the application form may not be changed in any way. All materials submitted shall become the property of PAEOP.
